“Customers don’t just shop for a brand and its products, but also identify with its core values.” If you know your core values – people will understand your brand and believe in your products. Like Simon Sinek explained in his viral TEDx talk, “The goal is not to do business with everybody who needs what you have; the goal is to do business with people that believe what you believe.” It’s a model that has worked for Virgin – as Richard Branson explained: “Knowing who we are and what we stand for ensures that we don’t waste time or money on messaging that doesn’t represent us or resonate with our customers.”
